Paraprofessional Assistant

As a Substitute Paraprofessional with ESS, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, promoting maximum academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include providing instructional reinforcement, assisting teachers with classroom management, and helping with administrative duties.

• Provide individualized support to students, reinforcing learning concepts and skills.
• Assist teachers with classroom management, supervising students, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Help with administrative tasks, such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in various settings, including the cafeteria, schoolyard, and during field trips.
• Attend to students' physical, emotional, and academic needs, ensuring their well-being and success.
• Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal history clearance.
• Extended background clearance through the Family Care Safety Registry.
