Terros Health is excited to present a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Crisis Specialist. This role is integral to our Mobile Crisis teams, which deliver essential behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization, prevention, and education.
Our dedicated teams serve a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and families, providing immediate support through phone, walk-in, and in-home crisis counseling. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, friendliness, self-motivation, organization, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities
The Crisis Specialist will play a dual role within our mobile crisis team:
- Responding on-site to individuals in crisis, utilizing best practices in crisis intervention.
- Engaging in administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the crisis department.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting mobile crisis interventions in various environments, such as homes, schools, and emergency rooms.
- Collaborating effectively with clients, families, educational institutions, first responders, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitating hospital discharges through assessment and planning with healthcare teams.
- Acting as a liaison between the Crisis Department and the crisis call center.
- Ensuring operational infrastructure is maintained and functional.
- Managing the Crisis Department schedule.
- Coordinating with fleet and facilities departments.
- Auditing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Providing clinical oversight to Behavioral Health Technicians as required.
- Assisting the Director and Manager with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- GED/High school diploma with at least 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or
- Associate's degree in a behavioral health field, or a bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling), or a bachelor's degree in a non-behavioral health field with a minimum of 1 year of behavioral health experience.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or application for one within 7 working days of employment.
- Valid Arizona driver's license, minimum age of 21, with at least 4 years of driving experience, meeting Terros Health's driving policy requirements.
- Ability to work effectively and tactfully with individuals and groups.
- Capability to perform physical duties associated with this role.
- Successful completion of background checks, TB tests, and other pre-employment screenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in crisis counseling is highly desirable.
- A master's degree or higher in a behavioral health field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) and Arizona behavioral health licensure (e.g., licensed social worker, licensed counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist).
- 1-3 years of experience in Substance Abuse, Mental Health, or other crisis management skills.
