About the Role:

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $17.52 per hour, paid weekly while employed through Career Concepts Staffing Services, Inc., with benefits available after a probationary period. As a heavy equipment operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, load, and unload lumber, as well as maintaining kiln operations and performing equipment maintenance to reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move lumber within the facility.
  2. Maintain kiln operations, including stacking, cutting samples, and recording results.
  3. Perform routine maintenance tasks on forklifts and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  4. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  1. Forklift operation certification (training provided) and basic lumber quality knowledge.
  2. Physical stamina for lifting, heights, and working in hot, noisy environments.
  3. Strong communication, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  4. Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime or shift rotations.
