Job Title: Electrician SpecialistIn the U.S. Army, this role involves installing and maintaining electrical systems in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install transformers, junction boxes, circuit breakers, service panels, switches, electrical boxes, and lightning rods.
- Read blueprints, wire plans, and repair orders to determine layouts and repairs.
- Test equipment for operational conduction of circuits.
- Inspect power distribution systems, shorts in wires, and faulty equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring and lighting fixtures.
Training:
This position requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including classroom and on-the-job instruction.
