Janitorial Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive store environment.

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing duties throughout the store, including the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area.
• Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations.
• Operate equipment and machinery as needed to support store operations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in janitorial or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
