Intake Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Intake Specialist to join our team at The GEO Group, Inc. This role is responsible for facilitating the placements of program participants upon release from designated CDCR institution locations to CBP programs as identified by the receiving STOP Placement Office.

• Collaborate with Parole Officers to determine placement and ensure a smooth transition for program participants.
• Work closely with Transportation Coordinators to ensure timely transportation to CBP program placements.
• Assist Community Service Representatives in determining placement and reception into CBP programs.
• Monitor referrals from Parole Officers and conduct assessments to appropriately place participants based on individual needs.
• Collaborate with CBP providers to determine reception into programs and ensure participants have necessary medication and supplies.
• Respond to Agent concerns and communicate effectively with CDCR when non-placements occur.
• Complete required reports as required by CDCR and Program Manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with case management and criminal justice populations is preferred.
• Ability to understand various models, including cognitive behavioral therapy, and theories of addiction.
• Knowledge of the California Treatment Initiative and in-custody and reentry treatment continuum of care.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and establish rapport with participants.
