Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Speech and Language Specialist to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy Careers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, helping them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop personalized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, focusing on areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings.
  • Implement evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
