CDL Driver

The Ready-Mix Truck Driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck used to deliver ready-mix concrete and other associated products to construction sites while maintaining a safety-first attitude.

• Fills water tank, checks slump of load, and cleans excess material from truck.
• Safely drives loaded truck to the destination on the delivery ticket and instructions from Dispatch.
• Ensures all delivery tickets are signed and returned to the plant.
• Upon arrival, inspects job sites, works with customers to obtain adequate vehicle access, and unloads material.
• Communicates truck status with Dispatch by use of two-way radio and encoders.
• Rinse chutes and rear of truck free of spilled concrete (re-hang extension chutes as necessary).
• Returns to same yard or other yard as instructed by Dispatch and receives new instructions.
• Maintain good customer relations. Act in a professional, courteous manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Assists in training of co-workers as needed.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a valid medical card.
• Meet minimum M.V.R. requirements.
• Ability to provide high standards of customer service.
• Ability to clean all areas on the vehicle, climb a ladder to inspect loads, and hang extension chutes.
• Satisfactory work attendance record.
