Senior Software Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to join our team at Cheqroom. As a key member of our product and engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and shipping cutting-edge technology that shapes the future of Enterprise Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development managers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify business requirements and design solutions.
  • Independently break down, estimate, design, plan, and deliver medium to large-sized features, serving as the subject matter expert on one or more components of our system.
  • Implement high-quality solutions by writing unit tests and contributing to integration, load, and user acceptance tests.
  • Identify, research, and resolve performance and production issues to support smooth operations.
  • Lead technical discussions and stand-ups, coordinate work with other teams, and effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist junior engineers with tasks and small projects, guiding them in planning and sizing their work.
  • Regularly document and communicate progress on design and code with your team members.
  • Use Agile principles to autonomously achieve goals and adjust plans as needed to drive project success.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role in a software company.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills in software architecture and software design principles.
  • Experience in working with modern development languages and collaborating with engineers and product management teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can effectively interact with both business and technical teams.
  • Passionate about digital products and their users, and strive to make the best, most easy-to-use products.
  • Value clean and readable code and actively look for ways to improve our way of working, both technically and operationally.
  • Solid experience with SQL and No SQL databases.
  • Experience with NodeJS, Python, or React Typescript.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Domain Driven Design, DevOps practices, Docker, Amazon Web Services, and cloud-based architectures.
