We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Thornton, CO. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical part in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students.
Key Responsibilities- Counseling and Support: Provide individualized counseling and support to students dealing with emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.
- Individualized Support Plans: Develop and implement tailored support plans to address students' unique needs.
- School Climate Promotion: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Community Resource Access: Facilitate access to community resources and services for students and their families.
- IEPs and Assessments: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and conduct assessments to identify barriers to learning.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- A valid Colorado School Social Worker License.
- A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience in school-based counseling or social work is preferred.
- Knowledge of mental health resources and evidence-based interventions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment.
- An estimated weekly salary range of $1,200-$1,600 based on experience.
