We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Small Claims Litigation Contract Attorney to join our team at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for managing and litigating a large docket of cases in small claims courts throughout the tri-state area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and litigate a high-volume caseload of matters across the northeast region
  • Provide dedicated ongoing service to a single, high-profile client
  • Work closely with DWT attorneys and the client as part of a collaborative team
  • Seamlessly pivot from interacting with and negotiating with pro se or represented plaintiffs
  • Conduct fact investigations and prepare litigation strategy
  • Facilitate settlements when appropriate and make court appearances on behalf of the client
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of commercial litigation experience in a large law firm
  • Experience handling the various stages of litigation (including settlement) with minimal supervision
  • Experience interfacing directly with client contacts
  • Residency and active bar admission in one of the following states: NJ, NY, and CT
  • Availability to attend occasional court appearances as needed
  • Excellent communication skills and strong client service abilities
  • Ability to juggle the business priorities of different client teams and manage competing deadlines
