Senior Pipeline Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Technician to join our team at Berkshire Hathaway Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our natural gas pipeline system.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on operational equipment at assigned facilities.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions.
- Support emergency response efforts.
- Locate pipelines and oversee third-party excavation and line crossings.
- Install and inspect pipeline markers.
- Operate work equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and specialized instruments.
- Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with specifications, codes, safety, and environmental standards.
- An Associate of Applied Science degree in a technical specialization is preferred.
- Typically four to six years of related, progressive work experience is required for candidates without the education requirements.
- Successful completion of Pipeline Technician Academy and/or achievement of at least one skill-block is necessary.
- A valid driver's license is required.
BHE Pipeline Group consists of Berkshire Hathaway Energy's interstate natural gas pipeline companies. We operate approximately 21,200 miles of pipeline with a design capacity of approximately 21.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
