Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health. As an Athletic Trainer - Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our student-athletes, ensuring their safety and well-being on and off the field.

• Develop and implement effective athletic training programs to prevent injuries and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Conduct thorough assessments and provide treatment for athletic injuries, including taping, strapping, and bracing.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to design and implement sport-specific conditioning programs.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on athletic injuries and incidents.
• Order and manage supplies and equipment for the athletic training room.
• Provide education and guidance to student-athletes on injury prevention and treatment.
• Assist in the selection and fitting of protective equipment.
• Monitor and control environmental risks to create a safe playing environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in athletic training.

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
• Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• One (1) year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred.
