Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join our team at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional bakeshop and be able to work irregular hours.

Job Summary

The Pastry Cook will assist the Executive Pastry Chef with the preparation of breads, rolls, and desserts. This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to follow specific directions, recipes, and sanitation procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Monroe County Health standards, and ensuring the highest quality products are presented to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in preparing breads, rolls, and desserts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Monroe County Health standards.
  • Follow specific directions, recipes, and sanitation procedures.
  • Present high-quality products to our guests.
  • Work irregular hours as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years' experience in a professional bakeshop.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds force, 20 pounds frequently.
Salary and Benefits
