Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in California. This opportunity involves working as part of a dedicated healthcare team to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
About the Role:
- We are looking for a motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with radiopharmaceutical administration, imaging procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- You will work closely with physicians and radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Prepare and administer radioactive substances to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and safe handling.
- Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures: Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture detailed images of organs and tissues.
- Patient Interaction and Preparation: Explain imaging procedures to patients, verify patient identity, and prepare them for procedures.
- Image Analysis and Documentation: Review images for diagnostic quality, label and document test results, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure radiation safety protocols are followed.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Experience working with radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
