The Aircraft Component Repair Specialist is responsible for executing repairs on metal and composite parts across various airframe types, ensuring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards as per manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under moderate supervision, conducts repairs in alignment with Service Bulletins (SB's), Airworthiness Directives (AD's), and established fabrication practices for aircraft components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications, company protocols, and client requirements while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.
- Engages in the fitting and installation of both fabricated and manufactured components. Actively proposes and seeks approval for alternative methods of installation and fabrication to achieve optimal quality and efficiency. Aids in troubleshooting structural issues as necessary.
- Prepares necessary documentation for record-keeping in accordance with company policy and FAA regulations (such as turnovers, removal sheets, and personal training logs). Demonstrates proficiency in the company work order system by accurately completing discrepancies, corrective action statements, SB's, AD compliance statements, and managing the final inspection and closure of work orders.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal work, aircraft structures, or maintenance.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
