Position Type/Expected Work Hours: This is a full-time role. Typical working days are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but availability during peak hours is required. From September to November, hours will extend from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Compensation: $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols within company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations while actively participating in safety programs.
- Execute essential operations to maintain facility functionality.
- Assist in unloading, loading, and transferring grain and grain products via truck and rail operations.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products handled and their hazardous properties.
- Operate conveyance equipment safely used in the shipping, receiving, and transferring of grain and grain products, including associated safety systems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through courteous and knowledgeable interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in grain handling areas and other designated plant areas.
- Monitor equipment performance, participate in maintenance activities, and report any necessary repairs or concerns to management. Address choke-ups and spills while adhering to safety policies.
- Engage actively as a team member and demonstrate independent thinking and action.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment: This position operates primarily outdoors, with exposure to grain dust, various weather conditions, and heavy machinery. Employees may work at heights up to 150 feet, requiring the use of harnesses and other safety equipment in certain situations.
Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this role include regular communication, frequent standing and walking, and the ability to handle and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. Employees must be capable of working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and enduring all weather conditions. This is a manual labor position.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Adaptable and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
