As a Per Diem Registered Pharmacist, you will be responsible for performing the full scope of duties associated with professional pharmacy practice, including dispensing medications, counseling patients, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications to patients in accordance with prescriptions and medical orders
  • Counsel patients on the use of medications, including potential side effects and interactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient medications and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay current on the latest developments in pharmacy practice

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or Doctor of Pharmacy) plus current license and registration to practice in New York State
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a pharmacist in Hospital Pharmacy with accepted standards of practice
  • PharmD or MS degree and/or completion of Pharmacy Residency Program may be used as a substitute for some experience
