University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and production schedules.
- Serve food in an attractive manner, adhering to our serving guide.
- Monitor and maintain adequate food quantities for hospital operations.
- Manage refrigerated and frozen food inventories.
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Select and operate food service equipment as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of large quantity cooking experience preferred.
- Current Certified Food Service Manager card from P.G. County Health Department or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
