Job-Specific Expectations
Take direct responsibility for selling vehicles while meeting dealership profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
Collaborate with the sales manager to establish and achieve sales quotas for new and used vehicles.
Meet profit margin objectives for vehicle sales.
Provide courteous and prompt greetings to customers.
Consistently adhere to the established sales process.
Effectively utilize time on the sales floor to address customer needs and drive sales.
Assess each customer's vehicle requirements through inquiry and attentive listening.
Facilitate vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
Ensure customers are qualified based on their needs and purchasing capabilities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products, features, and accessories, along with their benefits to customers.
Implement a follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Stay informed about industry terminology and product advancements.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections and road tests prior to customer delivery.
Deliver vehicles to customers post-purchase, ensuring they understand the vehicle's features, warranty, and documentation, which fosters customer loyalty.
Utilize vehicle delivery as an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships.
Understand vehicle equity and values, and be prepared to explain depreciation to customers.
Handle telephone transactions with courtesy and efficiency.
Employ a consistent quotation process for purchases, trade-ins, and vehicle sales.
Assist in moving and arranging display vehicles as directed by management.
Address customer complaints with empathy and a positive attitude to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
Stay informed about the laws governing retail auto sales at all levels.
Participate in relevant training to remain current with sales techniques and departmental concerns.
Attend sales meetings regularly.
