Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Certified Coatings Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of coatings and surfaces to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections of coatings and surfaces to identify defects and areas of concern
  • Develop and implement inspection plans to ensure thorough and accurate results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inspection findings and implement corrective actions
  • Provide expert guidance and training to junior inspectors on coatings inspection techniques and industry standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in coatings inspection technology

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE CIP Level 3) certification
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years' experience in coatings inspection
  • SSPC Lead Paint Removal (C3) certification
  • Bridge Coatings Inspector (BCI) Level 1 or 2 certification

Physical Requirements

  • Close, color, distance, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to travel extensively and work outside in various weather conditions
  • Climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain
