Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong background in nursing and medical practices. They will be responsible for collecting information to complete the Minimum Data Set (MDS) using the medical record, bedside assessment, and staff, resident, and/or family interviews.

The successful candidate will also participate in daily PPS meetings, weekly Medicare meetings, and monthly meetings to ensure federal billing requirements are met. They will review the Plan of Care at least quarterly and with each Comprehensive Assessment to ensure changes during the quarter are included and updated.

Responsibilities
  • Collect information to complete the MDS using the medical record, bedside assessment, and staff, resident, and/or family interviews.
  • Participate in daily PPS meetings, weekly Medicare meetings, and monthly meetings to ensure federal billing requirements are met.
  • Review the Plan of Care at least quarterly and with each Comprehensive Assessment to ensure changes during the quarter are included and updated.
  • Provide ongoing education of the RAI process to all interdisciplinary team members, direct and indirect caregivers, business office, etc.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; long-term care setting preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of MDS experience.
