Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers. You will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and resolving patient inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Services: Provide efficient and high-quality service to patients, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and resolving patient inquiries.
  • Billing Services: Ensure accurate and timely billing information, including reviewing encounter forms, entering patient charges, and batching encounter forms.
  • Medical Record Services: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including releasing information from records and ensuring confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One to two years of related customer service experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a high-volume, multiple-task environment, with exposure to ill patients and the ability to work under stressful conditions.
