Overview of the Role:

Join our dynamic Surgical Services team at Columbus Regional Health, where we perform over 7,000 surgical procedures annually, ranging from bariatric to orthopedic and cardiovascular surgeries. We are dedicated to ensuring a supportive and positive environment for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with registered nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process.
  • Assume vital responsibilities in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
  • The position offers a competitive base hourly rate, with compensation influenced by relevant experience, including shift differentials and premium pay where applicable.
  • Work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, providing full-time benefits eligibility.
  • Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call duties, maintaining a prompt response time for patient needs.
  • Benefit eligibility begins with a minimum of 16 hours worked per week.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in Applied Science Surgical Technology from an accredited institution is required upon hire.
  • Must possess a valid Indiana License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Surgical Technology Certification within six months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire, with training provided as needed.

Physical Requirements:

In this role, you will be expected to:
  • Stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks with dexterity.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, with the ability to handle heavier items as necessary.
  • Engage in various physical activities, including walking, climbing, and balancing, as part of your daily responsibilities.
