About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Generis Tek Inc. in Richmond, VA. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients using various imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS.
  • Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physician's orders are verified.
  • Rendere patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation.
  • Maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
  • Assist Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up.
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • Preferred: Society of Radiologic Technology and Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology certifications.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Rad Tech.
