Position Overview

Civil CAD Designer

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

We are looking for a skilled Civil 3D CAD Designer to collaborate with our engineering team in the creation and development of construction documentation for a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate plan, profile, and alignment schematics for water, wastewater, and stormwater pipelines.
  • Create detailed drawings for paving, grading, and drainage systems.
  • Develop site plans, sections, and details for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
  • Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance of drawings with both company and client CAD standards and styles.
  • Produce and manage comprehensive drawing sets.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment and engage with fellow designers.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a technical program with a CAD design certificate or an Associate Degree is preferred.
  • A foundational understanding of civil engineering design principles is essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is necessary.
