Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at MCR Hotels. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and administer the Preventative Maintenance program to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate and supervise the work of maintenance staff and contractors to ensure high-quality results.
  • Respond promptly to guestroom maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of operational manuals, warranty agreements, and maintenance schedules.
  • Investigate and resolve emergency situations, reporting findings to Guest Services and the General Manager as necessary.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation strategies to reduce energy expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including pool and spa maintenance.
  • Implement and maintain a key control system to ensure secure access to hotel facilities.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
  • Basic maintenance skills and proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
  • Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • 2 years of work-related experience in a hotel, apartment, or related field.
