Job Title: Procurement ManagerAt Lhoist North America, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing process for our East Lime and Minerals Divisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the sourcing process for the East Lime and Minerals Divisions, ensuring compliance with procurement and safety policies and standards.
- Develop and execute high-value spend strategies across multiple sites, clarifying needs from requisitioners, RFQs/RFPs, suppliers, selection, negotiations, and contract management.
- Implement processes and tools in compliance with Group templates, ensuring efficient and effective procurement operations.
- Develop and manage the Purchase Orders Terms and Conditions for high-value spot buys, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support the execution of Sourcing/Category strategies across multiple sites, driving Operational Procurement value contribution to the Business.
- Collect and analyze procurement KPIs, including P2P indicators, and implement remediation strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
- Identify and execute procurement process improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement in Procurement operations.
- Oversee the creation of new vendors and monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and standards.
- Support Catalog procurement management systems and compliance, ensuring efficient and effective procurement operations.
- Conduct procurement training as needed, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Manage supplier/customer relations regarding contract management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain the internal supplier database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management field.
- At least six to ten years of previous purchasing, procurement, or supply chain leadership experience in a mining or manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results through others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects, meeting all required deadlines.
- Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint software, with experience in an ERP environment and related reporting/data warehouse, preferably SAP/BW.
