Job Overview

Staff Management Group is currently seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee our client's distribution activities. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient warehouse processes and effective team management.

Work Schedule
  • 1st Shift: 9AM - 5:30PM
  • Monday - Sunday (Saturdays off)
  • Overtime opportunities available
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $18
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage warehouse personnel, ensuring tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving are performed efficiently.
  • Organize and assign work tasks to optimize productivity and workflow.
  • Provide training and development for team members on warehouse operations and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain inventory accuracy and quality control.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and logistics, to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Oversee inventory management, conducting regular audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Address team conflicts and performance issues through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance metrics, including productivity and inventory levels.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual proficiency is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Problem-solving capabilities to address operational challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, including receiving and inventory control.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy items as necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
