We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team at Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing quality care for clinically complex pediatric residents in a home-like atmosphere.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate the needs of ventilator and respiratory clients, identifying individual problems and needs through continuous collective objectives and subjective data.
- Consult with attending physicians regarding treatment protocol, providing written recommendations for interdisciplinary care planning and treatment.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and evaluation of individual care plans, ensuring respiratory care interventions are consistent with the care plan and standards of practice.
- Document individual evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries according to state, federal, and facility policies.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved respiratory techniques, initiating ventilator weaning protocol and/or respiratory rehabilitation as needed.
- Assess each assigned individual daily, communicating pertinent information to coworkers, Manager, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Minimum of Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Active, unencumbered state Respiratory Therapist license in the state where work is performed.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist by National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Valid CPR from AHA Healthcare provider.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
