Job Description:
The Physical Therapy Assistant - Patient Care Specialist will assist physical therapists and patient experience coordinators with administrative and clinical duties, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality patient care services. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients for physical therapy treatments and assisting with the administration of treatments.
- Safeguarding and motivating patients while practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff.
- Providing routine treatments, including hot/cold packs and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
- Cleaning work areas and equipment after treatment and maintaining restrooms and other areas as needed.
- Assisting with answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and tracking non-medical and medical supplies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required; intern preferred.
- Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and time management skills essential.
- Patient/client satisfaction is paramount, with a focus on exceeding expectations.
- Energetic and a team player, with the ability to demonstrate compassion toward patients.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment desired.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Work Environment:
- Internal office setting.
- Low noise level.
