Position Overview

Compensation: $16.00 / hour

This role is essential for the thorough preparation, execution, and dismantling of catering functions. The individual in this position will ensure guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous, and professional service that aligns with Knott's Berry Farm's standards for grooming, attendance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capable of carrying large trays, weighing up to 30 lbs, through busy environments consistently throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to departmental and Knott's Berry Farm's standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure timely service of food and beverages.
  • Inspect all equipment for cleanliness and any potential damage.
  • Set up tables as instructed and in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Prepare rooms as directed by BEOs.
  • Serve food in line with BEO specifications and guidance from shift leaders.
  • Deliver exceptional service with a positive attitude.
  • Report any unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisory staff.
  • Comply with chemical and safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, guest areas, and service zones while adhering to safety standards, including carpet maintenance.
  • Enforce policies regarding alcohol consumption during events.
  • Take breaks and meal periods as per the established schedule and state regulations.
  • Assist in the breakdown of rooms post-event as directed by the Banquet Team Leader or Banquet Manager.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Adhere to proper service protocols.
  • Possess a valid California Food Handler's card.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and visitors.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
