Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Collect and analyze data from nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).
  • BLS Certified.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and use radiation safety equipment.

Shifts and Scheduling:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. Schedules will be determined in advance and may be subject to change based on departmental needs.
