Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Operation
    • Ensure that all mammography equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within established standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Patient Care and Communication
    • Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding the mammography procedure and any necessary preparation.
    • Ensure that patients are properly positioned and comfortable during the procedure.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct quality control checks on equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with established standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Education and Training
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest mammography techniques and technologies.
    • Assist in the training and development of new staff members.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
    • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in mammography.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a mammography technologist.
    • Experience with mammography equipment and procedures.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
