Physician Opportunity for Flexible General Medicine Assessments

We are seeking a skilled Physician to conduct Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments near Fort Wayne, IN. This is a locum tenens position on a PRN basis with an ongoing need.
About the JobThis opportunity provides a way to serve veterans in a non-treatment capacity while offering flexible working conditions. As a Physician, you will have the option to travel to a leased facility or schedule veterans within your own practice for these assessments.

As a Physician, your primary responsibility will be to perform C&P Exams:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment exams for veterans, including interviews and limited physical exams such as range of motion testing and muscle strength assessments.
- No prescribing or ongoing patient management required.
You will have two options for coverage:
- Travel to a leased facility to conduct exams.
- Schedule veterans within your own practice for these assessments.
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Be a Board Certified Physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or a related field with experience in general medicine or performing compensation and pension exams.
- Have proficiency in using a goniometer for physical assessments.
- Familiarity with conditions such as musculoskeletal issues, diabetes, and cardiovascular health.
- METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Hold an active state medical license in Indiana.
- Complete DMA certification if not already certified (CME credits available).
The estimated salary for this position is $150-$250 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications.
