The estimated annual salary for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Geologist with expertise in geotechnical engineering, site characterization, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing field investigations, construction observations, proposal preparation, and technical report writing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or Geological Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
- State of California Certified Engineering Geologist
- 5-10 years of geotechnical experience with expertise in site characterization, logging of exploratory trenches, boreholes, geologic mapping, aerial photograph interpretation, and fault studies
- Excellent technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Project management skills including budgeting, proposal preparation, staff supervision, and client relations
- Valid California Driver's License and vehicle
