We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As an Athletic Trainer - School Based, you will be responsible for providing medical coverage and support to high school athletes, promoting the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs, and working closely with coaches, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical coverage and support to high school athletes during practices and events, including evaluating and treating injuries, administering first aid, and documenting patient information.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs, including community events, health fairs, and other outreach activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including athletic directors, coaches, school administrators, and parents, to promote the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs and provide excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care to athletes and patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in athletic training, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and promote the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Current athletic trainer license in state of practice.
- National athletic trainer certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated effectiveness with interpersonal relationships.
- Experience as an Athletic Trainer at a college or university.
- Completion of a formal Athletic Trainer internship at a college or university.
This position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies as needed. The individual must also be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
Work EnvironmentThis position will be based in a school setting, with occasional travel to community events and other locations as needed.
