Position Summary

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF ROLE


The Retail Associate will support the Assistant Manager and Store Manager in daily operations and performance metrics to achieve or surpass financial targets while adhering to company policies and standards.

Foster a welcoming work atmosphere that embodies Goodwill's Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) culture, core values, and mission in every interaction with colleagues, clients, and customers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome and engage all customers.
  • Assist in pricing, showcasing, and selling merchandise within the guidelines set by management.
  • Process refunds and exchanges in accordance with company protocols.
  • Accurately apply discounts and promotional offers.
  • Package and prepare merchandise for customers.
  • Utilize cash registers and other equipment to complete sales transactions and manage returns.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation of merchandise.
  • Monitor store activity to prevent loss and report any suspicious behavior to Loss Prevention.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment by adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Regular attendance is essential as per company policy.
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.
  • Serve as a positive example for peers and customers in all aspects of professional conduct.
  • Carry out any additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Minimum qualifications include a general educational background without a high school diploma, along with 0 to 6 months of relevant experience and/or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
