Responsibilities- Perform senior-level business analysis work on multiple projects that support the mission of improving outcomes for Texas students.
- Act as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team, ensuring requirements flow smoothly.
- Manage the requirements specification and verify the fulfillment of all requirements, including enhancements post-implementation.
- Elicit requirements from interviews with customers and create well-written system requirements documents.
- Develop user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices.
- Design mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement.
- 8+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent writing and organization skills, with a focus on creating clear and concise system requirements documents.
- Demonstrated work experience with requirements management software, such as Modern Requirements, and issue tracking software, such as Atlassian Jira.
- Experience working for or closely with client or another state or local education agency is a plus.
