Financial Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Counselor to join our team at American Oncology Management Company. As a Financial Counselor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the financial support they need to access quality cancer care.

The Financial Counselor will serve as the liaison between our patients and our practice, coordinating payments, assistance, and monitoring patient balances. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Coordinate with patients and insurance companies to ensure accurate billing and payment
• Monitor patient balances and develop plans to address outstanding debts
• Communicate with patients and providers to ensure timely and accurate financial information
• Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork for financial assistance programs
• Stay up-to-date on changing insurance policies and regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or degree a plus
• Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical or business office setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
