Job Overview

Tasty Zaytoon, a family-run restaurant, is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Chop vegetables, prepare sauces, and execute other food preparations as dictated by our Chef and Owner.
  • Cooking and Plating: Cook menu items in collaboration with the rest of the kitchen staff and ensure that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Station Management: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and prepared foods, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Quality Control: Check the quality and accuracy of orders for expediting to tables and ensure that all dishes meet our high standards.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean up stations and put away food products and supplies, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Cooking experience is required, and experience with Lebanese or Mediterranean cuisine is preferred.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly with colleagues, and anticipate the needs of others in the kitchen.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing circumstances in the kitchen.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.00 and a positive work environment that values teamwork and customer satisfaction.
