The Nuclear Industry QA Director will provide leadership in the organization or functional areas of quality assurance management. This role is responsible for supporting the establishment and execution of the approved Quality Program, providing direction to the QA staff, and performing work requiring advanced knowledge of Quality Assurance implementation responsibilities during engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal program and project audits and surveillances.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of the annual internal/external audit schedule.
- Interface with and provide support to Project Quality management as necessary.
- Prepare and revise the Quality Program Manual as necessary.
- Review Quality Program Procedures and Practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed.
Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
