We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialization in cardiovascular technology.
- At least one year of experience in a cath lab setting, with a strong background in cardiovascular technology and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations.
