Job Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The role involves initiating, sustaining, or enhancing the operations of injection molding machinery and associated equipment. These operations must align with or surpass the quality standards established by the Quality Department and adhere to customer specifications.

Authority to:

  1. Initiate, cease, or modify a manufacturing process as necessary.
  2. Refrain from using equipment or engaging in actions where safety is compromised.
  3. Execute mold changes and set up auxiliary equipment as needed.
  4. Carry out tasks as directed by their supervisor.
  5. Conduct minor maintenance as instructed by their supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Demonstrating excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
  2. Interpreting quality control results and making necessary adjustments.
  3. Auditing processes and implementing changes as required.
  4. Efficiently and safely performing mold changes at all times.
  5. Maintaining mold and fixture areas as necessary.
  6. Assessing and investigating the efficiency of injection molding machines and making adjustments as needed.
  7. Completing all required documentation accurately.
  8. Upholding housekeeping standards.
  9. Executing other duties assigned by their supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is physically demanding and safety-sensitive, requiring movement throughout the facility and the use of ladders to access presses. The individual must possess some or all of the following qualifications to support this role:

  1. Completion and passing of the tow motor safety program.
  2. Familiarity with molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  3. Understanding of the technology related to injection molding.
  4. Capability to perform and complete mold changes.
  5. Strong work habits and reasoning abilities.
  6. Prior experience in molding operations.
  7. Ability to lift equipment and materials frequently, up to 50 pounds.
  8. Maintaining an acceptable level of attendance and the ability to work overtime as required.
