Join Our Team as a Paint Prep Technician

At CarMax, we're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Paint Prep Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing, and buffing to restore vehicles to their original showroom condition.
  • Carry out dent repair, masking, sanding, and grinding to ensure sound bodywork.
  • Repair and replace small plastic and other parts to guarantee everything about the vehicle is in good working order.
  • Follow and promote CarMax's high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.

Requirements:
  • Experience in one or more of the following: masking, sanding, grinding, and applying paint.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina, with the ability to lift heavy objects and walk/stand for extended periods.
  • A strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
