Saxon Aerospace USA is seeking skilled Composite Technicians specializing in layup processes for an upcoming project.
Compensation: $45 per hour for standard time; $67.50 per hour for overtime.
Qualified candidates from outside the area will receive a daily allowance of $176 for accommodation, with a maximum weekly allowance of $1,232.
As a Composite Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Executing hand layup of advanced composite materials on designated tooling according to specific work instructions and client requirements.
- Conducting advanced composite operations such as trimming, vacuum-bagging, basic repairs, material preparation, weighing, finishing, and molding tasks.
- Performing inspections of in-process and finished products using hand measurement tools and various testing procedures as necessary.
- Maintaining records of inspection results where applicable.
- Managing work orders and time calculations to ensure product quality while providing suggestions for enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in layup or lamination.
- At least 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
Working Environment:
- Involves standing, pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for shifts lasting 10-12 hours.
This position is expected to last for an extended period, with the possibility of extension.
