We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts with potential variations in hours.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required; candidates without prior experience will not be considered.
Patient Demographics:
The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
Essential Certifications:
- BLS Certification
Work Environment:
The position requires experience in various surgical specialties including orthopedic, general, robotic, vascular, gynecological, urological, and gastrointestinal procedures. Familiarity with Da Vinci Xi Robot and Stryker Mako systems for joint surgeries is essential.
Unit Operations:
The operating room consists of 10 rooms with an average daily patient volume of approximately 40.
Technology Utilized:
Proficiency in Epic and Pyxis systems is required.
Holiday Work Expectations:
If a major holiday occurs during the assignment, the nurse is expected to work. Specific holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
Uniform Requirements:
Scrubs will be provided by the facility.
Time Off:
A maximum of 7 days off is permitted.
Weekend and On-Call Duties:
Weekend shifts are required only if on-call. The nurse will be expected to cover 4-5 on-call shifts within a 6-week schedule, including weekends.
Compliance and Orientation:
Full compliance with facility requirements is necessary to ensure timely start dates. Non-compliance may result in a delay of up to 2 weeks due to orientation schedules.
