About the Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Wilmington Location. Our team is seeking a dedicated professional to support the Registered Nurse in providing personalized nursing services to patients in our Primary Care setting.

Job Summary

This position involves effective collaboration and communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and have a strong understanding of nursing procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to any changes or concerns
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an ambulatory care setting
  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, protocols, and medications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
