Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, and med-surg overflow conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct vital sign checks, perform ECGs, and interpret telemetry data to ensure accurate patient assessment.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Telemetry experience and dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills.
- Ability to work every other holiday and be flexible with scheduling.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. The unit will accommodate first-timers with 2 years of experience, and the medical center offers a range of resources and support to ensure success in this role.
