Position Overview:

  • Become a key member of the Hardware Development team focused on the creation of sophisticated airborne systems, which encompass communication links, sensor technologies, armament systems, mission-critical equipment, cockpit interfaces, avionics, and radar technologies.
  • Facilitate the integration of both novel and established systems onto various platforms.
  • Engage in a variety of projects and responsibilities.
  • Innovate new products and evaluate hardware performance, while also enhancing existing solutions.
  • Apply mechanical engineering expertise throughout all stages of product innovation.
  • Generate design concepts utilizing CAD software tools.
  • Formulate solutions employing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products alongside bespoke hardware.
  • Assist in design evaluations, equipment integration, profiling, and testing processes.
  • Contribute insights on mechanical challenges to the project team.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Demonstrate a preference for on-site work and support for Department of Defense clientele.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must possess U.S. citizenship and the capability to secure a Department of Defense Secret level clearance.
  • Willingness to work on-site and engage directly with hardware.
  • Proven experience in the design, integration, or evaluation of mechanical components.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD modeling tools.
  • Exemplary planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Must be proactive and a quick learner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with airborne technologies, armament systems, and radar technologies.
  • Familiarity with cockpit interfaces, avionics, and ground vehicle frameworks.
  • Experience in prototyping and agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of structural design and manufacturing processes.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
